Maurach am Achensee
On the tracks of Notburga
A visit to Maurach is well worth it - not only to reach the destination station of the Achensee steam railway.
In Maurach the parish church of St. Notburga, named after the most honoured saint in Tyrol, is worth a visit.
Notburga is the only woman in Austria who has had a museum dedicated just to her - and what a museum it is. In the Notburga Museum the life and work of the saint is so well exhibited that the museum received the best recognition possible; the Tyrolean Museum Prize 2006!>> More information about the Notburga Museum
Please let us know when you are visiting so that we can reserve a table for you in our Notburga restaurant ...
